EPA and UL Tested and Approved

Halogen Free and Approved Under the Toxic Substances Act

Fully tested and approved by the EPA for product development for use in all plastic polymers and application on forests for development of fire extinguishing products.

Extremely clean and efficient manufacturing process. No toxic wastewater byproducts.

Our fire extinguishing agent has several characteristics that make it an environmentally friendly option.  PNS is similar in composition to fertilisers.  PNS that is not metabolised by the fire will react with the soil and is broken down, thus preventing bio accumulation.   PNS has already been tested by a company licensed by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and has been found to have low toxicity to the flathead minnow (See testing results below).

Using our compound at a relatively high concentration has additional environmental benefit as it is very effective and less is used.  It is inherently sticky and has low migration into the soil.  It is often not appreciated that even water, when used in large amounts as a fire extinguishing agent, is potentially very dangerous to the water supply when the water washes toxic materials from the fire itself into the soil.  There are many reports of a local water supply being damaged after large amounts of water were used to fight a house or other large fire.   PNS has not been evaluated for toxicity as a misting agent.
