PNS-F Gasoline Fuel Fire Demonstrations

Below are video demonstrations of fuel fires that were extinguished with PNS-F. PNS-F is chemically related to PNS Syrup but has inherent foaming. The foam blanket formed with PNS-F has outstanding thermal stability for exceptionally long burn-back times.

Videos 2 and 3 were filmed during official testing at Navel Research Laboratories (NRL) in Maryland. All of our videos are short (less than 3 minutes) and to the point.

Video 1: PNS-F 28ft2 gasoline fire test

28 square foot gasoline fire extinguished with PNS-F in less than 20 seconds. 5 gallons of gasoline were used for testing.

The application method is by the foaming nozzle stipulated in the MILSPEC guidelines. 10 gallons of gasoline are required to pass MILSPEC testing. Testing at NRL are upcoming in 2024.

Video 2: PNS-F for a gasoline fire, filmed at NRL

This is a video of our test of a PNS-F formulation on a 10 gallon gasoline fire. The testing was performed by professionals at Naval Research Labs (NRL) in Maryland. Time to extinguishment was 32:56.

Application was via our foam misting nozzles.

After the fuel fire was extinguished, a burn-back test was performed. The total burn-back time was not fully measured as PNS-F exceeded the amount of gasoline in the burn-back container. The official time was recorded at 10:30 seconds. On another test, our burn-back time exceeded 17 minutes. This was the longest burn-back recorded at NRL.

Video 3: PNS-F for a gasoline fire, filmed at NRL (second formulation)

This is a second formulation of PNS-F tested at NRL. PNS-F is the name we give to a family of compounds that have fire-extinguishing and foaming capabilities. Application was via our foam misting nozzles.

Time to fire extinguishment : 34 seconds

Burnback time : 10:39 seconds
